Frequently Asked Questions

Lyman Counelors are available every day to see students during Break and Lunch in the Student Services Office. Students do not need an appointment. If more time is needed to discuss the topic, the counselor will set an appointment. Students can also email their counselor by visiting the Contact Us page.

Every year once skyward student access opens AND during the first 5 days of school, the counseling team will accept course change requests and will make every attempt to fulfill the change request if there is room. We CANNOT drop classes or change schedules after this 5 day Drop/Add period. This includes dropping a year long class after the first semster.

Parents can excuse student absences directly in their Skyward Family Access account. For information and directions visit the Attendance Page of the Lyman website.

Official and Unofficial transcripts can be requested at any time by visiting the Transcript page of the Lyman website.

If you lost your Student ID, first check the Student ID Lost and Found in Student Services. If it’s not there, then you will need to order a new Student ID.

No! There is no requirement to complete community service hours to graduate from high school. Service hours are only required to qualify for a Bright Futures Scholarship.

Make sure you have completed all 3 of the required forms (Volunteer/Work Plan, Service Log, and Essay). Turn these completed forms in to your School Counselor who will add the hours to your transcript for when they are shipped to the Bright Futures Office after graduation.

These systems are owned by these organizations and Lyman staff does not have access to retrieve or reset login information. Students must contact these organizations directly either via call, email, or help ticket to retrieve their login credentials. Please visit the organization website for contact information.
